LWV contributes to the sport by promoting six races each year, including the following:

April 14, 2007 - Cancelled due to road conditions
Tahuya-Seabeck-Tahuya Road Race
This is a European style road race in the tradition of Liege-Bastogne-Liege. The leg out to Seabeck is fairly flat while the return to Tahuya is challenging. The course is a scenic, fun and rolling 65 mile loop that is to be completed one time only by all categories (one added climb for Cat 1/2 men). This course will definitely remind you of the Spring Belgian Classics. There are several significant climbs (39*23 recommended) that will be marked along the course. Be a part of the best race in the northwest as voted by you!

June 14-15, 2008
Methow Valley Tour
The Methow Valley is famous among the fat tire crowd, but road riding has kept a pretty low profile. Until now, that is! This two-day stage race presented by Lake Washington Velo, Winthrop Physical Therapy and the Methow Valley Sports Trail Association features awe-inspiring scenery and challenging courses that span the length of the Methow Valley. For the inaugural year: 10 mile, out and back time trial in Mazama, road race through old-town Winthrop, and a classic, small-town criterium through downtown Twisp. A great turn out will guarantee continued growth for this event. Mountain top finishes at Washington Pass or Loup Loup Pass in the future? You bet!
