The Methow Valley is famous among the fat tire crowd, but road riding has kept a pretty low profile. That changed in 2006 with the successful debut of the Methow Valley Tour. This two-day stage race presented by Lake Washington Velo and the Methow Valley Sports Trail Association features awe-inspiring scenery and challenging courses that span the length of the Methow Valley. For 2007: 10 mile, out and back time trial in Mazama, road race travels up valley through Winthrop & Mazama from Twisp, and a classic, small-town criterium through downtown Twisp. A great turn out will guarantee continued growth for this event. Mountain top finishes at Washington Pass or Loup Loup Pass in the future? You bet!
