First presented in 2002 Star-Crossed was the nation’s first and only twilight cyclocross criterium. Now, it is the much anticipated season opener to the US cyclocross season With past media coverage from Velonews, Bicycling and Road. It has been called the Dayton 500 of ‘Cross kicking-off each US cyclocross season in style under the lights of the Group Health Velodrome on a fast and spectator friendly course surrounded by a festive atmosphere. The sixth annual Star-Crossed is coming at you Saturday, September 22, Marymoor Park, Redmond, WA. Neil Browne editor of Road exults, “What an experienced! If you can ever get to Star Crossed, do it and you will not be disappointed.”

Highlights: Fast spectator friendly course surrounded by a party atmosphere. The event of Fall features DJ spun tunes, packed beer garden, racing under the lights and the generous door prizes. Expo area, food service and espresso. Roadies come enjoy the party as your season is over. Crossers come out and kick the season off right under the lights.

The Races

Where: Marymoor Park Velodrome, Redmond, WA

Registration: Pre-registration online at www.bikereg.com, $20.00. Pre-registration closes on 9/19/07. $5 fee for late registration. Late registration opens at 2:15 pm, closes 20 minutes before each race. One-day USCF licenses are available.

Elite Men & Women: This is a UCI Category Two event. An international license is required. UCI Cyclocross points will be awarded per UCI guidelines.

Entry fees: Racers - $20 pre-registration, $25 day-of ($2 USCF surcharge included),
Spectators - $5

Directions
Group Health Velodrome at King County's Marymoor Park
From I-5 or I-405: Take SR-520 East to Redmond, WA, exit at Lake Sammamish Parkway. Turn right at the first stop light, and left at the second light into the park. Turn left at the 4th stop sign into the Velodrome parking lot.
Prize List
Minimum $4,000 cash & merchandise paid at least five deep per category.
